5 BEST MAKEUP FOUNDATIONS

Finding the right foundation can be like finding a gold mine. It is soooo difficult. First off, it’s hard enough to find the right color. Then add on top of that, how well does the foundation wear and how long.

We all want long-lasting flawless foundations and that means we don’t want to look like we are wearing foundation. So, none of that cakey dried out foundation that, cracks and looks terrible by the end of the day. This is why I have put down my top 5 best makeup foundations here for you.

Foundations

Remember your foundation is called a foundation for a reason. Think of your face as a blank canvas, when you apply your foundation you want it to go on smooth and contribute to the overall look.

Foundations come in light to heavy coverage. If you have bad skin, it doesn’t mean you always have to go for a heavy coverage. Foundations can be layered and to be honest… that’s what concealers are for. So here are my Top 5 foundations I recommend for all skin types.

1. Forever Skin Glow by Dior

This is medium coverage. This is usually my choice to go with because you can really build this one up if you want a heavier coverage. This foundation looks amazing on all skin types because it gives a boost of hydration without looking glowing or sweaty. It’s great for a full day’s wear, yet leaving the complexion fresh and natural-looking.

2. All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation by Nars

I love Nars weightless foundation. It a heavier coverage but doesn’t feel like you are wearing a pound of makeup. This one is great for covering dark spots, age spots, freckles, and even pores. I love the mat finish on this foundation, which really gives you a porcelain flawless look. Pair this with a rockin’ smokey eye.

3. Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer by Tarte

Tarte’s BB tinted moisturizer is perfect when you want a very very light coverage. I tend to use this foundation in the summertime when I want a light coverage to even out the skin. It’s packed with Amazonian clay and chamomile, vitamins A, C, and E, and sodium hyaluronate, and even an SPF in it.

4. Hydrating Camo Concealer Satin Finish by Elf

Ok, so this is a concealer but I actually love it as a foundation. It has the consistency of the foundation. Plus a little tip… you can use concealers as foundations. Sometimes you just don’t need a full coverage. Elf’s Camo is still a high-coverage, long-wearing product that is perfect for more of a spot concealer foundation. It blends really well for just areas you need to smooth out.

5. Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation by Laura Mercier

If you want a medium to a full, long-lasting foundation that you don’t have to touch up or controls oil break-through… this is your foundation. This foundation is great for all-day wear or even photoshoots with heavy lighting. This is usually my foundation of choice for a heavier look for those long photoshoots when you want your skin to look perfect.

Picking The Right Foundation

I don’t just use one foundation all the time. Our skin changes all the time. Some days you will have more moisture and your skin looks amazing as is, other days you just need extra help.

And if you are going for different looks, different foundations are a part of that creation from a dewy fresh look to a mat evening look.
