So a little about me…

I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and come from a huge family of nine.. and yes, I
was named after the perfume, Chanel N°5. If I wasn’t on the beaches trying to learn how to surf (which I was never good at… ugh), I was out hiking or building tree forts in our orange groves.

In my early 20s, I spent a few years in Scotland  doing service and decided to then go to London to become a makeup artist. Here is where I learned the foundations of the art, as I studied under some amazing artists, including the head makeup artist of Dior.

Once I returned back to the states, I spent the next chunk of my life on photoshoots, bartending, and traveling anywhere I could. Having the drive to further my education, I moved to Las Vegas where I bartended my way through college (if you ever have the chance to bartend in Vegas… DO IT! It’s a trip, haha).

I received my B.S. in Nutritional Science at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. I have certifications with; ACEND in nutritional health, Life Purpose Institute as a Certified Health and Healing Life Coach, and London School of Makeup and Beauty, as an international makeup artist.

But more importantly, in 2019 I was diagnosed with Breast Implant Illness (BII); which has been a contributing factor to an autoimmune disease and other serious health ailments. In 2021, I underwent a Mastopexy with an Explant, which resulted in necrosis and wound dehiscence to my right breast. These complications left me doing wound care for 8 months and (for now)… completely disfigured.

Both these events (and others) altered my life completely and forced me to make some major changes. Fortunately, through this process, I have become more knowledgeable and determined to be an advocate for what I have learned.

These are all the more reasons for starting this blog… so I can help those looking for answers, or just want some tips on how to make life a little easier.
