6 LONG-LASTING MAKEUP PRODUCTS ALL UNDER $9
Ok…. soooo I’m a bit of a makeup snob. I hate to admit it but I am. I’ve been doing makeup for too long to mention, which is why I have become one.
When I turned 15, in my family we could ‘officially’ wear makeup and my mom would take us to Nordstroms to pick out a few items. We didn’t go to the local drugstore for makeup. You bought a few really good items and you didn’t need anymore. Well, that was her take on makeup… and trust me, it’s changed by now.
When I stocked my makeup kit, I bought products like Makeup Forever, Dior, Chanel, Nars, and… well you get the picture. For me, top-of-the-line products meant top-of-the-line, long-lasting wear. You get what you pay for.
New Products… New You
We all know how it is when our skin changes and sometimes you just aren’t happy with how your makeup looks, so you decide to try a new product. And too be honest, I just didn’t want to pay $25 for an eye pencil that I use in what seems like a month! Ugh.
So I took a chance on an eyebrow pencil that… I’m not joking, cost $6.47. I figured if it was terrible, I was only out a few bucks. Wow… wow is all I can say!
1. NYX Eyebrow Pencil
NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Eyebrow Powder Pencil beats Anastasia’s brow pencil hands down! It has the right consistency to apply, not too hard or not too soft. Great colors… I’ve used everything from their Blonde to Auburn. And it stays on forever. So I thought well if this is pretty good, why not see about their brow gel, since I was getting really tired of pomades and having them dry out.
2. NYX Eyebrow Gel
Ok… hands down my favorite NXY product. I have bought this for my mom, sisters, and my niece. That’s how much I love this product. If you want to have your brows the next morning after wearing them all the day before? Then you need NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Eyebrow Gel.
Not only does this stay on alllllll day, but it doesn’t dry out. You don’t have to scrap your container or mix it to get the product to soften. And you only need a tinnnnnny tiny bit.
I will say though, you will need to buy a really good thin brush for applying this brow gel. SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Eye Liner Brush is perfect for this product.
3. NYX Highlighter
By this time, I’m already in love with my new eyebrow products and I needed a highlighter. I usually use Nars or Benefits, but thought… hmmm why not NXY.
And NXY didn’t let me down again! NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator is a great product to highlight your cheek bones for that sun-kissed looked. Especially right now with it being winter and you need that extra pop of color. Great product!
4. NYX Eye Primer
So, eye primer is only something I started using lately. And I have been spending a small fortune on trying to find a good one. The NYX eye primer compared to the $30 one I bought, is pretty comparable, if not better.
I even used it on the T-zone of a client to make sure her makeup stayed all day for her wedding. Now she uses this product religiously. Oh and did I mention, it’s waterproof? NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer.
5. NYX Concealer
This isn’t my absolute favorite concealer on the market, but for the price, it does a pretty darn good job. But I do like it for under eye concealer since it has a cool tip for application. This sponge-like tip makes it really easy to blend when applying it. For $8 NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Born To Glow Radiant Concealer is worth picking up!
6. NYX Eye Liner
If you want the perfect Cat Eye… then NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Epic Ink Liner, Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner is a must! This one is a felt tip but they also have a brush style too, if you like that better. I prefer the felt tip but to each their own. Both go on amazing and stay on all day. I was getting really frustrated with my liquid liners and tried everything! This does the trick amazingly… trust me on this one.
NYX Products
As you can now see… I’m a huge fan of NYX. It has to be one of the best products out there and so cheap too! If you haven’t tried this line, you have to. I’ve put the links to my favorite products on here, but this is also a brand you can pick up at any drugstore or even Walmart.
