HOW FASTING IS GREAT FOR LOSING WEIGHT AND MORE

When the pandemic hit and everything was shut down, we all had to quarantine. Socializing because something of the past and many of us resorted to Zoom and FaceTime.

Life has become so different. We all miss the things we used to do and now we realize we took it all for granted. During this time my sister, my niece, and I decided to start throwing Sunday Tea Parties.

Since we each have been quarantined, spending Sundays together was safe for all of us. When we started this, it is was really for my 10-year-old niece. She, like many other kids, are having a difficult time with all of the uncertainties of the state of their world. And that includes us, adults, too!

Eventually, these Tea Parties became important for my sister and me as well, to escape our week… just sit and enjoy each other’s company. We make them fancy or sometimes we just sit around on the ground, drinking tea and eating small finger foods.

Mental Health

Most of the time, we think of taking care of our mental health is talking to a professional or meditation. But, it can just be taking a break from the stresses of your life and allowing yourself to relax and be appreciated.

For us girls, it’s just getting together and spending quality time enjoying each other’s company. No stress… No drama… just giggles and laughs. We feel fancy sitting around sipping on Princess Tea (which my sister won’t give me the secret recipe to…Ugh!) and eating fun foods. We even dress up Gretchen, who loves to join us. Whatever you do, choose to make it fun and not stressful.

For others, it’s jumping on Zoom and doing a happy hour together. Whatever it may be, do things to make your life a little sweeter. Just remember life’s too short… enjoy it and throw yourself a fancy tea party! XOXO
